RHS Upgrades

Having recently spent $2.5million on developing our new STEM spaces, one in the Maths/Science building and the other Arts and Digital Media, it is really exciting to have further new projects in the planning.

By the end of Term 3, a new fence will be installed around our site, continuing the existing fence line around Renmark Primary School. This new fence will define our area, our school, as part of our endeavour to raise our image and expectations of all who are on site.

Over the next 12-16 weeks we have architects involved in the planning stage of our new $5million capital works project. This is a chance to modernise other areas of our school and to prepare for when Year 7 students join us in High School.

Based on feedback from students, parents and staff the first thing we have on our list is upgrading our air-conditioning which will require a power upgrade.

We are also really excited about redeveloping the face of our school by relocating our front office administration into the old Tafe building on Thurk Street. This will work well with our plan to connect learning and Welbeing resources to improve the experience of our students by the development of our grounds to make areas more student friendly. Remodelling of the technology workshops and upgrading a Home Ec. kitchen facility is in the planning phase. In initial project estimates, the budget is unlikely to stretch far enough to include the Gym this time around.

Our new fence is being erected soon, the air-conditioning we are hoping to have installed over the Christmas school holidays, and the remainder of the works we expect will be completed by the end of 2020.

These are exciting times for Renmark High School!

Enjoy the upcoming holiday break, be safe, and see you next term at Expo.
