Australian Business Week
In the last week of Term 2 the year 11 students participated in our annual Australian Business Week. This year the theme was 'Manufacturing' where each team had to control a Sporting goods production company with outlets both within the state, interstate as well as an online store.
We divided the year level into six teams where students were supported by both teacher and business mentors. Throughout the four days each team had to produce the following
- Computer simulation trading as a company over 8 quarters
- 30 second television Commercial
- Written report
- 8 minute oral presentation
- Trade display
There were a variety of sporting company ideas embracing sporting fitness equipment, clothing and shoes as well as natural health products.
Thanks must go to the many mentors from the local community who gave up their time and provided great insight into the world of business.
