Year 11/12 Geography

Wilderness explorers in Miss Caputo's Stage 2 Geography class ventured to the Murray River National Park to demonstrate their skills in data collection and fieldwork techniques. Geographical fieldwork techniques encompass a wide range of methods used to collect data and conduct research in the field of geography.

Students completed transects, quadrats, field observations, and sampling, to then analyse the usefulness and limitations of each technique when completing a fieldwork study. The opportunity to illustrate practical geographic abilities, as well as the fresh air and warm sun, was appreciated by all students (and Miss Caputo)!
