In week 5, we had guest speaker Derrick McManus visit Renmark High School to speak about his life experience as a South Australian Police Officer and his traumatic experience that makes him thankful to be here today. In 1994, McManus was shot 14 times in less than five seconds with a high-powered semi automatic rifle. McManus presented his life story to our year 10 students, as well as educating them on how his mindset allowed him to physically, mentally and emotionally prepare himself of the challenges ahead of his injury. 

This was a great mindset session for students where they could relate circumanstaces to their personal wellbeing and everyday life.
