Pastoral Care Worker - Pammy Main
Hi everyone, firstly welcome back to Term 3 – lots happening this term and I am really surprised at how quick this year is going.
I have been away at a state conference held in Adelaide. Over 300 Pastoral Care Workers (Chaplains) came together for 4 days for training, encouragement, fun and meeting new people and hearing some outstanding speakers. In our spare time some of us walked on the beach to Glenelg and back to our accommodation. It was so beautiful really early in the morning with the freezing wind, hearing the waves crash and just feeling so alive; a small thing but it impacted the beginning of each day for me hugely.
I came into school on Friday morning and as I was walking past the music room I heard some amazing music loud and strong – mainly trumpets. So I went into the music room and asked the Instrumental teacher if I could stay and listen. There were Year 8’s and others playing different instruments and also the Adelaide Youth Orchestra Wind Quintet were playing with our students. They made some fantastic music together and it was lovely hearing our students playing along. Well done everyone!!
Have a wonderful week, keep smiling and say hello to someone – they might even say hello back. Cheers Pammy PCW
