Trash novel study – Google Earth tour

Our year 8 class is currently studying ‘TRASH’, a novel about a group of young trash pickers in a developing country who find something extraordinary in the rubbish. For students to understand the geography of the novel’s setting, they completed a Google Earth tour, visiting some of the key locations in the novel and watched embedded videos, read articles, and did creative writing tasks to better understand and empathise with the characters.
