SRC Induction Report

In front of an excited and positive student body in the wake of Monday evening’s historic Inter-School Swimming success, the 2019 SRC was inducted. Record numbers of nominees across our 5 year levels saw 72 students put their hand up to be part of the SRC in a very positive sign for the promotion of student thought, leadership and ideas.

The 35 elected SRC members for 2019 were able to strongly demonstrate to their peers that they live and uphold the Renmark High School values of trust, responsibility, fun, respect and accountability.

The SRC leadership has already outlined their priorities for 2019 which includes a focus on fundraising events, lunchtime sporting events and challenges of many kinds between students and staff, a uniform review and the improvement of the school’s grounds – in particular the renaming of the main school blocks after Renmark High School graduates and staff as well as the renumbering of classrooms.

The SRC held its first meeting of the year and a Leadership Day at the local council chambers on Wednesday the 27^th of February to plan for the year ahead. The group is greatly looking forward to working with the Governing Council and the many existing committees to achieve the goals they have identified for 2019.
