Power SAASTA Connect Cup

Last week, Renmark High School’s SAASTA Connect students participated in the Power SAASTA Connect Cup at Alberton Oval in Adelaide. Power SAASTA Connect aims to inspire First Nations middle school students to complete their schooling and is designed as a dedicated and direct pathway into the Santos Aboriginal Power Cup. Over the year, students achieved the SAASTA KPIs, resulting in their participating in the cup, which included AFL activities, cultural workshops and a careers and health expo.
Students left Renmark on Thursday and had a pre-warm up session at Bounce, where they prepared for their big day of football on the Friday. Renmark did exceptionally well on the football field, winning most of their games. They also participated in Aboriginal weaving and painting, and attended the career and health expo, where they learnt about job and further career opportunities for First Nations people. The students had a fantastic day, and we are exceptionally proud of the hard work and dedication they have shown as part of SAASTA Connect.
