Premier's ANZAC Spirit School Prize
Huge congratulations to year 10 student Angus L who has been selected as a 2024 Premier's ANZAC Spirit School Prize recipient, winning a spot on the 2025 study tour to Vietnam.
Angus' outstanding commitment and skill to researching the story of former Renmark High School student and Second World War hero, John Lill reflects his desire, skill and passion for history, its connections to the Renmark community and his own life. Angus' achievement, determined through a rigorous judging process that included the creation of an essay and an interview, will be celebrated in a few weeks with an award ceremony at ANZAC House with the Premier and Minister for Education along with Military and RSL members in attendance.
Renmark High School wishes to thank Roger and Megan Lill for their assistance in researching John and for the insight their conversations with Angus provided. We are extremely proud of John's achievements and life story and are very excited at the wonderful learning and life changing opportunity Angus has won. During next year's tour to Vietnam, Angus will have the opportunity to commemorate and learn about the sacrifices of Australian men and women throughout Australian history.
Recently Angus received his award at Parliament House which was presented by Premier of South Australia, Peter Malinauskas along with the support of Angus' family.
