Miss Caputo's year 10 History class stepped into the shoes of international diplomats recently in a Mock United Nations simulation.

As part of their 'Rights and Freedoms' unit, students each represented a different country and were tasked with investigating how their nation may be violating articles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR). They then had to present their findings to the 'UN assembly' and suggest realistic ways their country could improve, using other nations as examples of positive change. Students were challenged to think critically and speak with purpose as they explored complex global human rights issues. World leaders, watch out!
