Last week, Mrs Dunn’s year 8 students started to explore data and statistics in Mathematics. The students were given a packet of lolly snakes and determined the mean, mode, and median of the snakes. They counted the colours in the packets and measured the lengths of each snake. This activity allowed them to practice solving for centres of data sets as well as providing a mid lesson sweet treat.
