Senior French students enjoyed an introductory Farsi lesson this week with The University of Adelaide pre-service teacher, Samara. In a short time, they learned to ask and answer simple questions in Farsi, write their names using the Perso Arabic script, الفبای فارسی (alefbâ-ye fârsi) and explore some of the language’s different dialects across other countries and cultural traditions. Students also discovered the French vocabulary that is a part of the language, like the word ‘thank you'. مرسی (mersi) Samira!
