Notification of Planned Asbestos Removal Works

Planned asbestos removal work will be undertaken during the school holidays from Monday the 28^th of September concluding on or prior to Saturday the 3^rd of October.  Further notification will be supplied if there are any changes to planned dates.

The asbestos removal work will be undertaken by licensed asbestos removal company, Scherer Contractors Pty Ltd.  Safe Work SA has been notified of the work. An asbestos removal control plan (ARCP) will be developed to ensure that adequate measures are in place to minimise risk and to meet regulatory requirements.

During these works, access to Renmark High School will be restricted.  Signs and barricades will be in place to delineate the asbestos work area.

The Occupational Hygienist KJ Crichton Environmental Building Management have been engaged by Scherer Contractors to review the ARCP and undertake assessments of the risk controls in place during the work.  This will include monitoring for airborne asbestos fibre around the perimeter of the work area.  On conclusion of the work the Occupational Hygienist Crichton Environmental Building Management will perform a clearance inspection and air monitoring to provide a clearance certificate prior to reoccupation of the area.

Second week of school holidays (5^th October – 9^th of October) 8:30am - 4pm
