YEAR 8 PERFORMING ARTS - CLASS PERFORMANCE
Plane Crash written by the Yr 8 PA Class
On the 22nd of September, the year 8 Performing Arts class performed in front of two year 8 classes. The class had created and rehearsed the play over a 5 week period.
"I enjoyed acting on stage and being a part of something that I’ve never done before" Sophie
"I enjoyed doing the set design by putting up a huge tent in the background held up by a tarp, rope and the lighting rails. Putting on a performance is a lot of work with set design" Kayla
"I learnt how to do sound FX in only a short amount of time" Cameron
"I really enjoyed making up the play as a group and doing the final play. I learnt how to remember lines and that you can’t laugh even when something funny happens. Stick to your role!" Rachel
"Cooperation between fellow classmates is crucial which helps the play come to life. There is also a lot of preparation that goes on behind the scenes" Penny
"I learnt how to memorise lines, work with others, throw ideas around and how to have fun while working and learning at the same time. A performance is more than just acting. There is team work, trust, as well as sound, set, lights, props and costumes" Alana
"I learnt a trick to take control of the situation when people forget their lines. It is better to help those who have forgotten their lines in the play through “saving them” than to be annoyed at them" Kyia
