Dry Ice and Rubens Tray

Our year 9s have begun the year learning about energy transfer. Students were able to investigate heat transfer by making ice cream using dry ice. They were also able to visualise sound waves through the use of our Rubens’ tube. A Rubens’ tube provides a visual representation of sound waves using flames as music is played. From here students will continue to investigate heat, light and sound as the term continues.
