Renmark High School

PRINCIPAL'S ADDRESS

Swimming

Congratulations to our Renmark High School Swimmers! Renmark High School took out the title two weeks ago at our local Riverland High Schools interschool competition. Last night, the Renmark High School team took out the Adelaide School Sport SA C grade 2021 Championship shield! Well done on a fantastic effort!

SRC assembly

Congratulations to our new SRC members who were presented with their badges on Friday. The upcoming leadership day will allow priorities to be set for the year. This year will include opportunities to develop our new vision and values, an outdoor play-space, continue our building renaming project, and look at the transition of Year 7 to High School. Well done on being recognised by your peers for your leadership potential and I look forward to working with you all this year.

Social worker

In the pursuit of supporting student wellbeing for learning Renmark High School is employing the professional skill set of a Social Worker. The Social Worker will be responsible for supporting the improvement of the health, safety and wellbeing of our student population through the provision of sustainable, ongoing, complementary evidence-based social work services. Please share the vacancy with anyone you think could be interested in the role. Further details are available on our Facebook page or from the front office. We look forward to seeing the establishment of this position in Renmark High School.

Open Days

We are opening our school for existing and potential parents and students on the 15th and 16th of March.  This will be a great opportunity to see our classrooms in action and to see our new spaces as our building works are nearing completion.  Please see details in this newsletter and I encourage you to register for a guided tour.  I hope to see you there.

New projectors across the site

Last week we installed new interactive smart TVs across our site, giving all of our learning spaces now up to date technology in projection devices.  This technology is part of our continual upgrading of our learning spaces for students.

 Strong Futures

Last week Amy Evans, Daniel Giles and student Andrew gave an ABC Interview on our Strong Futures Program. Please see the ABC News Interview in this edition of the newsletter.
