GREEK EASTER
Orthodox Good Friday was held on 30th April. Mrs Papametis's year 8 Greek class made traditional Easter biscuits called ‘Koulourakia’. They also dyed red eggs to symbolise the blood of Jesus.
Students participated in the traditional egg cracking competition and said, ‘Hristos Anesti’ and tried to crack each others' egg. The egg that doesn't break is classed as the winner and will have good luck.
Mackenzie thought the lesson was "fun and educational"
Maddy said "the biscuits were really yummy and egg cracking was fun"
