SCHOOL BASED TRAINEESHIP
Are you a year 11 student interested in a career in classroom support, administration or IT support? Kick-start your career with a Skilling South Australia school-based traineeship this year!
A school-based traineeship can be counted towards your SACE and will help you build employable skills so you can hit the ground running when you finish school.
As a trainee, you will work 1 day per week at a local school, as a paid employee of the Department for Education.
You will be trained on the job and work towards a nationally recognised Certificate III:
- Certificate III in Education Support – leading to roles as a classroom school services officer (SSO)
- Certificate III in Business – leading to roles in school front office, student services or corporate admin
- Certificate III in Information Technology – leading to roles in technology support
- Certificate III in Community Services – leading to roles in Aboriginal Community Education (only open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in regional areas).
