Last semester Mrs Atsaves’ and Miss Long’s year 9 Digital Media designers have completed creating and illustrating their cartoon characters using Adobe Illustrator. Students explored various features of cartoon characters analysing cartoon characters from 1950s - 2000s from various countries around the world. They gained an understanding of how society, different cultures and technological developments impact the progression of cartoon character creation. Students’ own final cartoon characters were inspired by cartoons from popular culture as well as Japanese Anime. Here are some examples.
