RENMARK HIGH SCHOOL MURAL

At the beginning of the year, the SRC Mural Committee began planning and designing a school mural to be painted on the end of the A-block facing the courtyard. The students brainstormed ideas and discussed which local artists they would like to work with in the creation of a mural. These conversations led to the SRC creating a survey to gain feedback and ideas from students, parents and the wider school community.

After much deliberation and feedback, the committee asked local artist Kat Bell, to design and create a mural that would reflect all aspects of our rich school community. Kat Bell skillfully translated the survey responses and created an original and meaningful piece of art, which was agreed on by all stakeholders including the Mural Committee, Stronger Futures students, Renmark High School staff and the Governing Council.

Kat, along with members of the Mural Committee and Stronger Futures has begun painting the mural in the middle of our school. Watch this space and we cannot wait to share more with you in the following weeks.
