Year 9 students studied the artworks of Keith Haring with the view to create a paper mache sculpture using his style. Once students were familiar with the shapes and detailed decoration he used, they chose something to create a piece for themselves. The human figures are a direct influence of Haring’s with some students trying simplified animal shapes.

The construction of all the pieces was excellent and the attention to detail our art students used for decoration made for some very impressive sculptures.
