Tim Burton Set Design

In our Year 9 Drama class we have been learning about Tim Burton, including themes and trademarks used in his movies. We learnt about the re-occurring theme of outcasts, how Burton represents them and how Burton includes the same trademarks in all of his movies such as snow, dinner scenes, music, holidays and certain colours to symbolize different things and what they all mean.

We split into groups and created our own set designs in a Burton style based on a fairytale. Our own set designs included the fairytale plotline, the theme of an outcast as well as Burton trademarks in each set design. Our class all had amazing designs and we had fun making them.
