All year 7s and 9s will participate in NAPLAN (National Assessment Program- Literacy and Numeracy) this year. NAPLAN provides parents, carers and teachers important information about how students are meeting the literacy and numeracy standards. It helps guide our teaching, professional learning and to identify intervention programs to support students. NAPLAN testing will occur between the 10^th and 20^th of May in term 2. In week 8 this term, some students will participate in a readiness testing activity. This is a trial test. The data is not used to assess your child in any way. It does provide us information around our ICT capacity and will allow your child to experience the online testing environment before their formal test.  Attached to this week’s newsletter is the NAPLAN – Privacy Collection notice.
