WATER & THE WORLD
As a part of our year 7 HASS unit ‘Water and the World’, students have been learning about the importance of the Murray River to our community, and in particular, the Erawirung people.
Renmark High School ASETO Daniel Giles talked to all year 7 students about the spiritual connection to the Murray and the importance of sustainability in Aboriginal culture. Students also learnt about the Ngurunderi Dreaming story and the formation of the Murray, how the Erawirung people used the river and focused on some of the damaging changes the Murray has endured over the years.
